Dr. Loening is both a clinical radiologist and an active research focused on expanding the capability of MR and PET/MR as it relates to imaging of organs in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Clinical research aims include the application of new or improved MR sequences and reconstruction mechanisms to increase the speed, robustness, and diagnostic capability of body MR protocols, and combining PET molecular imaging agents with MRI to improve the diagnostic power of clinical imaging.
